What the heck is this blog all about?

So after dating for some time, Katie and I decided we were ready to change things up a bit – after some persuading, she finally acquiesced and agreed to move in with me. Thinking that perhaps this wasn’t challenging on its own, we decided to up the difficulty level – let’s buy a house, and move in there! But let’s also not make this a new house – let’s get one that we need to work on!

SO, here we are – blessed by a confluence of excellent interest rates and a rise in foreclosures, we now own a lovely 2 bedroom in Hollywood.

This blog is about the house, about us living in the house, and our renovations of the house. I’m hoping to stumble my way into some amusing (and knowing me, often embarrassing) stories, and even tips and guides on renovations.

DISCLAIMER TO THE ABOVE STATEMENT: I am a complete novice when it comes to home improvement, so take any advice with a grain of salt. However, I promise to fumble through mistakes so that you don’t have to when you redo your own little “slice of heaven”.

AND knowing how indecisive we are when it comes to some changes, we’ll happily take any recommendations, and may even poll you! (any thoughts on exterior colors right now?!?)
